DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION
These straps are meticulously designed and 100% handcrafted, one at a time, by artist/guitarist Micah Atwell. Each strap is constructed from heavy-duty cowhide leather, lined with soft velvet pig suede for comfort and grip, and painstakingly hand-stitched with heavy, durable nylon thread.
Each design is unique, never made from a template or mass-produced! Colored dyes, when used, are the most colorfast and quality non-industrial dyes available and sealed with an acrylic topcoat for a water-resistant finish. Black dye is made and aged right here from more natural ingredients and does not require any sealer. For the final touch, all edges are rolled, slicked and burnished.
ADJUSTABILITY & WEAR
Whether you like your guitar up close and personal or down on the floor, you'll find FP straps offer a wide adjustment range (approx. 38-54 inches). The simple belt-buckle-style adjuster was carefully designed to reduce the risk of the buckle coming into contact with your guitar by putting the main strap body between the two (your belt buckle or jewelry is more likely to scratch your guitar). The adjuster is glued and triple-riveted to the strap body for ultimate strength and durability.
FP straps keep your guitar where you want it (no sliding around) and distribute the weight evenly over the shoulder. This means better gigs and more productive sessions, even with the heaviest guitars. And despite their hefty look and feel, FP straps are still lightweight.
A TRUE WORK OF ART
Finally, each strap is given its own unique serial number, stamped into the strap along with the year it was made. It then receives a final cleaning and careful packaging. For your purchase, you'll also receive a hand-written and personalized receipt listing all the details about your strap.
So, why settle for a cheap off-the-rack strap when you can stand out and bolster your image? Here's the chance to own a true and unique work of art that will bring you longwearing comfort and genuine attention. But don't miss out... supply is limited!

Cosman's review of "Firehorse" #001
Yep dojo members, you read that right. Not only is Micah Atwell a talented musician, guitarist, artist, and web designer, he also does leather guitar straps too! I'm the proud owner of his first ser. #001 strap. I'm very stoked to own this piece of gear! Ok on to the review!
I have one of those leather straps you order out of a catalog and it always seemed flimsy like it could rip apart at some point. To have the chance to get a strap that is handmade and high quality with a cool design, I just had to go for it.
I saw the drawings Micah did months ago for a [George Lynch] dojo theme guitar strap and was very impressed. When he decided to start on this project I jumped at the chance to have a strap based on the dojo theme (I loved the colors and shading). While my strap does not have dojo logo it does have some lettering of my choosing. No it's not the Gus G logo, I think it means "I better light a fire under my ass, quit horsing around and play my guitar" LOL!! Micah somehow magically dyed this into the leather with a light edge to it.
Warning! If you're looking for a cookie cutter strap that is the mark of perfection, look elsewhere. This is a piece of selected high quality handmade leather that should last a lifetime. It has the heft of saddle leather yet is supple to the touch. The coloring and shading he did amazes me. The color has such depth to it, and the color varies depending on lighting and the angle you look at it.
What struck me the most about this strap is how much it does scream hand-made. And it should cause it was. No machines or fancy smancy cutters here. When I realized he was punching every single stitch hole I was floored! Micah labored over this. This strap has character all its own. You can tell from the grain in the leather. No doubt about it this is art. Real art made by a real person who knows what a guitar player wants.
The backing is a black suede that has been glued and stitched to the main top leather. The buckle adjustment is simple and very effective. One thing Micah told me was he wanted to make sure plenty of adjustment range was available. From John Lennon to Joey Ramone I think you are well covered here. The buckle has been distressed to give it a vintage look. The tang that the buckle adjusts on is both glued and riveted to the main strap (this is not going anywhere! The edges are smoothed over and colored also but not like a machine did it, you can tell it was handmade and I love that about this.
I was also floored at how easy it was to get my Schaller strap lock on this! This strap is thick. This leather is between 3/16-1/4 there abouts. and when I saw that it was thick my hands already ached from the thought of trying to get strap locks into this. But it was a non-issue. Micah made the strap slots just right to hold on an end pin without issue or worry of dropping your favorite axe and the round part is open just enough that strap locks go on easy.
No padding is needed in this strap. The strap is very comfortable and, due to the high quality leather, the weight of the guitar is distributed well over your shoulder. The only issue might be that this strap may not fold up into that tiny glove box in your guitar case if you have one of those. In a full size case should be no problem. This is a high quality strap with an awesome finish on it so I won't be bending and folding it up anyhow. I'll treat this as I would treat my guitar.
Thanks Micah!
Jay Parmar's review of "Sacred Serpent" #002
Just wanted to let you know that the Sacred Serpent Strap that you made for me was awesome on the Eden's Curse tour. It really gripped well so that the guitar was super-stable and was incredibly comfortable to use. It looks a million bucks as well... everybody was stunned by the design and snakehead!!! Onstage it made a great addition to my ESP Serpent... I'm looking forward to using it again on the next Eden's Curse tour.
Stay Cursed!
